Brittany, Patrick Mahomes go nuts at Kansas City NWSL game

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes had the time of their lives at Saturday’s NWSL game, and they hope their famous friends can join them again next time.

The Chiefs quarterback and his wife, co-owners of the Kansas City Currents, are helping kick off the brand new CPKC Stadium in style, and they hope to welcome Taylor Swift at some point along the way.

Before Kansas City’s thrilling 5-4 victory over the Portland Thorns on Saturday, the Mahomes family spoke on ESPN’s “SportsCenter” about the club and how they want Taylor Swift to be in the game this season. I talked about whether there are any.

“Maybe someday I’ll bring her here, she’s a busy woman and Travis [Kelce] He’s a busy guy,” Patrick Mahomes said. Featured on Bleacher Report.

“So, maybe during the season or something like that, we’ll be taking her out to Kansas City Current games. She loves rooting for Kansas City as much as we do, and she loves to cheer on Kansas City. I’m sure Brittany will be able to nudge her and get her here easily.”

Brittany said she was responsible for getting pop megastars in NWSL matches.

“It’s definitely my responsibility, it’s definitely my responsibility. I’ll do my best, I’ll try my best.”

But the duo wasn’t just talking about having Swift attend the current match.

They also pumped up the crowd for the stadium’s opening game.

It was a historic opening match at a venue that was the world’s first soccer stadium built specifically for a women’s team. According to the team.

The stadium has a capacity of 11,500 people and the opening game was sold out.

“Kansas City, we’re here, we made it,” Brittany Mahomes said into the microphone into the crowd before kickoff. “I just want to say thank you for coming today. This is history, it’s unbelievable, and it’s great for you all to show up in your own stadium for them.”

The Chiefs signalman then led a raucous chant of “KC, baby!” Before adding “Let’s go!”
