The deal won’t become official until the new league year begins Wednesday.

Jeudy, a former Alabama star, was selected by the Broncos with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he didn’t live up to high expectations.

Jeudy, 24, had 54 receptions, 758 receiving yards and two touchdowns last year.

Pro Football Focus ranked Jeudy as the 62nd best receiver in the NFL in 2023 with an overall rating of 67.8.

During his four-year tenure with the Broncos, he totaled 211 receptions, 3,053 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns.

This was after Jeudy emerged as one of the best receivers in the country at the University of Alabama.

He had 77 receptions, 1,163 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in his final season in college, followed by 68 receptions, 1,315 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns a year later.

During his freshman season, Jeudy won the 2017 national title at Alabama.

Now, he joins a wide receiver room that includes Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman as Jeudy’s notable competitors.

He faced harsh criticism for his performance last year, particularly from former receiver and current NFL Network analyst Steve Smith.

That caused an argument between the two.

“Again, sorry, you said JAG.” [just a guy] Or he’s just an average wide receiver who was a first-round pick and doesn’t amount to anything,” Smith said on air during the feud. “I hope you show up today like you haven’t been in years since you were drafted.

“If you’ve ever had a problem with Agent 89, I’m sorry to say you’re an average wide receiver. [the Broncos] Eventually I’ll move on and if the team calls me and asks [if] They should trade for you, I say no, but don’t trade for Jerry Jeudy. Because he is mentally unable to handle constructive criticism. … He can be a wide receiver — he’s Tier 3. ”
