Bronx shooting leaves 3 shot, 2 dead: NYPD

Three people were shot, two of them fatally, during a shootout in the University Heights neighborhood of the Bronx on Friday morning.

According to the New York Police Department, police found a 36-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman shot in the chest at approximately 12:15 a.m. in the area of ​​2290 Davidson Avenue.

The third victim was a 40-year-old man who was shot in the right arm.

All three victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in Belmont, about a mile from the scene.

Two victims were shot in the chest and pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.

A 40-year-old man who was shot in the arm is said to be in stable condition.

Police are investigating a motive for the deadly shooting but no arrests have been made.

At the time of the shooting, two men dressed in all black were seen fleeing the scene on a red moped and are believed to be the suspects.
