Mayor Eric Adams announced Thursday that “Broadway on Broadway” will crack down on quality of life issues after seeing a new surge in urban resources, notorious for its open drug use and tort.
Adams said his multi-agency “Community Link” program will descend into the commercial area between Melrose and Motthaven, known as the “Hub.”
“Adding hubs to this network will address complex, chronic complaints and improve public safety at Hunts Point.
The exact details on how community links work on the hub were not given during the announcement of the major mayor. His staff was shortened after reporters asked questions about Gov. Kathy Hochul, who could cut his strength.
A news release showed the hub would join other “hotspot” communities, including prostitute-filled Roosevelt Avenue and mentally impaired Haven Midtown West.
Community Links programs hygienically kill substance abuse, mental health, homeless outreach, and other quality of life efforts in these areas.
The constant tort of the hub and the long-time city promises to clean it up – was revealed after January's exposure.
The post spent several days there and saw two addicts nod more after having apparently overdose and openly filmed the dope.
After exposure, the dealer continued selling the product, and Junkie injected opioids with exemption.
Vanessa Gibson, president of the Bronx Borough, said the Community Link Initiative, which connects 20 different urban institutions, including the NYPD, the health department and hygiene, recognizes “multiple layers” needed to resolve the issue .
“Customers living with addiction and substance abuse, addressing the quality of life, hygiene, glorification, revitalizing our open spaces, saturation of many social service programs, and clients living with addiction and substance abuse are true to drug treatment and harm reduction programs “We make sure you have a holistic approach to it,” she said.
