Tragic Incident in Chester, New Jersey
In early June, a distressing event unfolded in Chester, New Jersey when Connor Hanlon discovered his wife, Brooke, unresponsive and unconscious on their home floor.
On June 6, Connor, 35, called 911 after finding Brooke, who was covered in blood. He urgently sought instructions for cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Investigators, later on, confirmed Brooke’s death from “multiple sharp force injuries,” as reported by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office.
During the 911 call, frantic and panicked, Connor stated, “My wife… just discovered CPR. I need CPR instructions.” You could sense his desperation. The operator asked whether she was bleeding and unconscious, to which Connor vehemently replied, “No!” His voice conveyed utter horror when he declared, “I need you here. Please come here now.”
Local Reactions
Fox News Digital found Connor in Brighton, Massachusetts, where their child was staying with relatives. A neighbor recounted the last contact with Connor, noting the unusual activity outside on that fateful day. “I’ve talked to Connor a few times, mostly via email. He would often message me if there was a bear nearby,” the neighbor shared.
It’s chilling to think about how quickly things changed. One moment, it was just another day, and the next, a life was lost. The Morris County Prosecutor’s Office noted that Connor has engaged a lawyer and remains in touch with law enforcement.
The call to 911 was logged at 4:29 p.m., and just minutes later, the dispatcher recorded a note reflecting “suspicious death.” Interestingly, records indicate that Connor has no prior arrests or criminal background, and as of now, he has not been charged with any crime.
This incident has left many in the community grappling with shock and disbelief. Thoughts are with all affected as investigations continue.
