Brooklyn Beckham Addresses Family Rumors

Brooklyn Beckham is stepping up to tackle the ongoing speculation about tension within his family.

In his first comments on the matter, the 26-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham spoke about the rumors that have swirled since earlier this year. “There will always be people saying negative things, but I have a very supportive wife,” Brooklyn shared during the Ryder Cup All-Star match. “We just focus on our own lives and work hard. And we’re happy.”

Brooklyn further expressed that he doesn’t let public opinion bother him regarding his personal life. “People will always have their opinions,” he added. “I just try to enjoy playing golf with my friends; it’s really a lot of fun.”

This week, at Bethpage Black Golf Course in New York, he attended the Ryder Cup All-Star Match, where teams from the US and Europe faced off.

In a lighthearted moment, Brooklyn joined NBA star Toni Kukocochi in a match up against “SNL” star Colin Jost and NFL legend Eli Manning, although his team didn’t win. “I feel like the crowd didn’t like me much,” he joked about the American audience’s reactions. “I was expecting a bit of heckling being in New York and going up against Eli—that’s just how it goes. Regardless, I had a blast.”

Interestingly, Brooklyn was at the event even as his dad’s soccer team, Inter Miami, played in New York that night. He mentioned he couldn’t stay long, as he needed to return to Los Angeles to help out his wife, actress Nicola Peltz, who was home with their dogs. “I left her with four dogs, so I really have to get back and lend a hand,” he said.

Speculation about the Beckham family rift reportedly began when Brooklyn and Nicola chose not to attend David’s 50th birthday party in May. Tensions appeared to arise even earlier, during the couple’s wedding in Palm Beach in April 2022. Allegations emerged that Victoria made Nicola cry after taking over their first dance at the wedding.

Further complicating the situation, reports suggested that Brooklyn and his brother Romeo have had their own misunderstandings, especially since Romeo began dating Kim Turnbull. It was said that Brooklyn and Nicola skipped David’s birthday bash partly to avoid awkwardness with Romeo and Kim, leading to a split between Romeo and Kim in June amid family drama.

Despite these tensions, Brooklyn and Nicola recently renewed their vows, creating cherished memories despite the absence of some family members. A source described the event as a celebration of the couple’s enduring love and commitment.

Meanwhile, David seemed to extend an olive branch when he liked one of Brooklyn’s posts on Instagram last month, hinting at a desire to mend fences.
