Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz withdraw from Met Gala 2025 due to family issues.

It seems this year’s Met Gala turned into a family affair for the Beckhams.

Brooklyn Beckham and his wife, Nicola Peltz, reportedly opted out of attending the 2025 Met Gala, choosing instead to stay in London to celebrate David Beckham’s 50th birthday along with family drama that unfolded during the party. Sources close to the couple indicate they made this decision on Monday.

Interestingly, they ended up skipping both events altogether. “They had initially planned to go to David’s party on Saturday but decided against it to focus on the family celebration,” said an insider. However, there’s a hint of tension in the air, as Brooklyn feels somewhat burdened by the responsibilities shifted onto Nicola.

“She’s never told him what to do and is always supportive,” the source remarked, suggesting a loyalty that some perceive differently.

The rift apparently began when Brooklyn expressed he wouldn’t attend the birthday bash if his brother Romeo’s girlfriend, Kim Turnbull, was present. This caused quite a stir, particularly given the Beckhams’ close-knit family ties.

Brooklyn, 26, and 30-year-old Peltz flew from Los Angeles intent on seeing David for his milestone birthday, but the family gathering turned into a star-studded affair at a core restaurant in Notting Hill.

A source mentioned, “Brooklyn came to London hoping for a family breakfast or coffee. When he realized the gathering included Kim, he bailed.” He feels slighted, suggesting that his parents favored Romeo and his girlfriend over him.

Interestingly, insiders from within the Beckham family claim this family drama isn’t as straightforward as it seems. “There’s more to this than just Romeo and Kim,” one said, implying that it feels somewhat performative from Brooklyn’s end. “He texted me about it, and it seemed like ticking a box.”

Attempts to reach Brooklyn and Peltz for comments have so far been unsuccessful.

Romeo began dating Turnbull in 2024, making their relationship public in November, while Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot in April 2022.

“I think I’ll skip the Beckham family gatherings for a while,” Brooklyn reportedly mentioned. This drama feels potentially deeper than just a simple family spat.

“In some ways, it’s not shocking, but also, with so many opportunities to connect as a family, it’s hard to digest them missing David’s big 50th,” one insider said.

This disconnection from the family has raised eyebrows, with sources claiming, “David and Victoria just want Brooklyn to remember his roots.”

Notably, the couple hasn’t been spotted with the Beckham family since Christmas.
