A Brooklyn mom, who was riding an e-scooter on Coney Island last summer, plans to suicide the NYPD for $5 million when she was stopped by officers who called her a “black bitch” and arrested her for not having an ID.
Keyanna Moody, 32, was riding a Z6 FlyE bike, an electric scooter that looked like a motorcycle, around 9pm on June 11, according to a notice of a request filed with the Mayor's office on February 22.
Mom was near Surf Avenue and West 15th Avenue – her husband was on a similar electric bike at the time – was reportedly a police officer stripped the key from the ignition and requested a license and registration. When she fails to hand over the documents, two officers alleges she “treated hard” her on the ground.
The officer then “tugs” his head and shoulders while dragging Moody into the police car, a notice of the claim that portends the lawsuit.
“What's going on with them? Why are you doing this to me?” Moody told the post. “He told me because I wasn't silent and he called me a black B.”
The judge instructed her to escape trouble for six months and released her.
Since the incident, she has claimed to have back pain, numbness in her legs, and tingling arms and fingers among other issues.
“This is a clear abuse of authority and highlights the systematic issues of racial profiling, excessive power and lack of accountability within the NYPD,” said Moody lawyer Eric Sanders.
