Training Under the Sun
Brooks Nader and Libby Dunn are in the spotlight these days.
On Tuesday, a group of athletes kicked off their “ocean training” at Venice Beach, California, gearing up for the much-anticipated reboot of the beloved series “Baywatch.”
According to sources, the cast is being guided by seasoned lifeguards to master essential skills, including the art of running in slow motion along the sandy shore.
Nader, who’s accustomed to posing in bikinis, is reportedly eager to take up surfing as well.
“She was a strong swimmer and practiced with a swim coach,” a source shared.
Nader and Dan, a former LSU gymnast, are both familiar faces in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit circle.
“They are thrilled to collaborate together,” an official noted. “They’re really enjoying it and injecting that Sports Illustrated vibe into Baywatch Beach.”
Others in the cast have also joined in the beach training sessions.
Previously, Page Six mentioned that Brooks is intensifying her physical preparation for the role, which includes strength training with a personal trainer.
However, she took a breather last weekend, attending her manager Leah Fiddler’s wedding to Gavin Moulatau at the Nizuk Resort & Spa in Cancun, Mexico, alongside her sisters Mary Holland, Grace Ann, and Sarah Jane.
The series, famous for its iconic scenes of actors running in slow motion, has a new lineup featuring Stephen Amell, Hussie Harrison, Thaddeus LaGrone, and original cast member David Chokachi.
Nader is set to portray Selene, “the fierce captain of Zuma Beach’s lifeguards,” according to the character description, while Dan will take on the role of Grace, a junior lifeguard.
The original “Baywatch,” featuring David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, aired from 1989 to 2001, and in 2017, a movie adaptation starred Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron.
