Accusations Against Cory Caneiro in Quadruple Murder Case

This week, the youngest brother of Paul Caneiro, who is suspected of being involved in a quadruple murder, was found at his home in New Jersey. Cory Caneiro, age 52, was spotted lying face down, just days after his brother’s attorney suggested in court that he might actually be the real culprit behind the shocking murders that occurred in Colts Neck back in 2018.

Cory was seen at his waterfront mansion in Seabright, and his lawyer, Monica Mastellone, argued that Cory should have faced investigation for the deaths of Keith (his brother), Keith’s wife, and their two young children.

Prosecutors have accused the Caneiro brothers of violently killing their family due to escalating financial issues involving Keith. In court, Mastellone claimed that Cory’s financial troubles were actually more severe than Paul’s.

However, on the very day of those allegations, a couple of luxury Porsches were parked outside Cory’s home. This seemed, well, a bit at odds with the narrative of financial distress.

Cory, clad in a pink hoodie and sunglasses, chose not to comment when approached by reporters, and he drove off in a sleek black coupe.

Interestingly, Paul Caneiro has also shown a penchant for luxury cars. In 2018, despite facing financial decline, he leased multiple high-end vehicles, including an Audi Q5 that prosecutors say was linked to his alleged mistress.

The legal proceedings have revealed that Paul was grappling with significant debt, allegedly stealing $78,000 from a trust belonging to Keith, which sparked a fierce confrontation between the brothers. Prosecutors later claimed that Paul ambushed and fatally shot Keith, attacked his sister-in-law Jennifer, and killed his young nephew Jesse and niece Sophia before setting their home ablaze.

Authorities believe that Paul perhaps hoped to create the appearance that both he and Keith were victims in this horrific incident, adding layers to an already complex situation.
