Brothers of Laken Riley’s murderer to be deported

Two brothers Both Jose Ibarra, the illegal alien who murdered Laken Riley, have returned to Venezuela as part of a Take Back America operation under President Donald Trump.

The other Ibara brothers — 29-year-old Diego “Gocho” and 25-year-old Alzenith aka “Menny” — have pleaded guilty to illegally crossing borders on multiple occasions during the Biden administration and possessing fraudulent documents. DOJ Press Release.

In custody… Diego obviously tinkered with the facility's fire sprinkler system, causing “severe floods.” He is said to have been later discovered with two “improvised weapons.”

Two counts of fraudulent documents Diego manages to serve in the now 48-month prison, appear to be the least harmful to alleged crimes he has committed since it was reportedly first stepping into American soil in 2023.

On April 3, 2023, Diego was removed from the United States and sent to Mexico after illegally crossing the border near Eagle Pass, the press release said. Just a few weeks later, on April 30, Diego is said to be among a group of four Venezuelans illegally scaling El Paso's border fence.

When a border patrol agent tried to detain him, Diego was reportedly grabbed the agent's radio and even tried to have him bite. He also “accepted illegally crossing the border, resisting arrests and at any cost to avoid arrest,” the DOJ said.

Diego then insisted on Asylum and expressed fear of returning to Venezuela, and was placed in an alternative to the detention program, wearing an ankle bracelet and being released on the condition that he would report to hearing in asylum in New York City.

He appears to have not followed either of these instructions. DOJ claimed at one point that Diego would “cut” the bracelet at his ankle, since the last pinged on May 25, 2023 near Littleton, Colorado.

Diego also apparently did not compete in the New York hearing and instead moved to Athens, Georgia. There he lived with the Jose brothers, and had multiple arrests and several encounters with the police.

  • On September 24, 2023, he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without a license.
  • Two days later, officers responded to a call about a “national incident involving Diego Ibarra and his girlfriend,” the press release said.
  • On October 27, 2023, he was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
  • On December 8, 2023, he was again arrested on a prominent warrant that he had not appeared in court in connection with the alleged shoplifting and DUI's arrest.
  • While in custody with the US ex-s at the Butts County Detention Center, Diego tinkered with the facility's fire sprinkler system, causing “severe floods.” He is said to have been later discovered with two “improvised weapons.” A pen covered with sharp sprinkler head and saran wrap.

Officers grabbed Diego again on February 22, 2024, shortly after nursing student Laken Riley was brutally murdered while jogging on the University of Georgia campus. Officers at the Athens Clark County Police Department approached Diego the following day after matching the suspect's statement. Diego then provided police officers with fake green cards and was taken into custody, according to a press release.

Like his murderous brother Jose, Diego is believed to be affiliated with the violent Tren de Aragua gang. Diego has a TDA tattoo, flashing gangster signs and photographed him wearing TDA-related apparel, the press release said.

Diego will sentence him to 48 months in prison “exceeding the scope of federal sentencing guidelines,” the DOJ said. He is then transferred to ice custody and sent back to Venezuela.

Jose and Diego's younger brother, Arzenith, has few complaints against him. According to the DOJ, he attempted illegally to enter the United States on April 3, 2023, and was subsequently sent back to Mexico. Like Diego, he appears to have crossed the border again on April 30, 2023 in El Paso. He was arrested by border patrol, but Alzenis was released because the treatment facility “has no space.”

Argenis submitted two employment-related documents in the fall of 2023, but the documents were rejected in both cases.

Argenis and co-defendant Rosbeli “La Gorda” Flores-Bello, 29, who shared an apartment with Diego and Jose in Athens, Georgia – admitted to owning a fraudulent green card, the DOJ said. They were sentenced to service and were quickly placed under ice custody for their deportation to Venezuela.

All three of Jose Ibarra, serving a life sentence, were sentenced on March 19 by U.S. District Judge Tillman E. Self.
