Browns ask Quinshon Judkins to remain at home following serious allegations

Quinshon Judkins is not having a typical rookie experience in Cleveland.

The running backs are skipping Browns training camp on Friday as the team has advised him to concentrate on his legal matters following his arrest for battery and domestic violence on July 12, according to reports from Cleveland.com.

It has been reported that Judkins allegedly struck his girlfriend upon arriving at Fort Lauderdale International Airport on July 7. The woman reported the incident five days later.

At just 21 years old, Judkins has yet to sign a contract, as his legal troubles take precedence.

The situation appears to be complicating his future in the NFL. There are claims that his anger escalated over baggage fees at the airport after reading family messages, leading to the altercation as he was leaving the airport.

The woman apparently sustained a “visible bruise on her jaw” and mentioned further attacks involving her arms and legs.

When she contacted the authorities, she expressed that she still had visible injuries and felt pain from the incident.

Judkins allegedly invoked his Miranda rights during police questioning and spent the night in Fort Lauderdale Prison.

According to arrest documents, he and the woman lived together from May to December 2024, although they weren’t in a relationship between December and June of this year.

Drafted as the 36th overall pick, Judkins was anticipated to fill a significant role in the offense after Pro Bowler Nick Chubb departed in the offseason.

During his final year at Ohio State, Judkins amassed 1,060 rushing yards and scored 14 touchdowns.

If it weren’t for his arrest, he might have recently joined the ranks of rookies who are signing contracts. For instance, Jets tight end Mason Taylor secured a four-year, $10.5 million deal on Friday.

Other names like Alfred Collins of the 49ers, Ozzy Trapilo of the Bears, and Tre Harris of the Chargers have also been finalizing deals while aiming for more guaranteed money.
