Browns lineman reveals tragic stillbirth of son: ‘Worst moment of my life’

Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Hakeem Adeniji shared a heartbreaking video. his instagram On Monday, he said he and his wife, Kayla, were grieving the stillbirth of their son.

They were expecting their son to be born in early November.

“Everything was fine and going well, but last Friday Kayla couldn't feel him.” Adeniji said in the video.. “She felt his presence early that morning, so she went to the hospital…she got an ultrasound…they put the ultrasound on her stomach and couldn't hear anything.”

“It was the worst moment of my life,” Adeniji said with tears in his eyes.

“I can't explain it to anyone,” Adeniji said.

Adeniji shared another post about her stillborn son, which included thoughts about the tragic situation.

“It's been just over a week since I lost my son,” he said. “There was anger, sadness and emptiness. The fact that he is gone has already set in and nothing can change that. I will never get to see him grow and I will never be able to see him grow as I wrote. I will never be able to read his diary.'' I will miss him and all the happy times Kayla gave us and all the difficult moments he helped us get through. I want to remember.

“As we move on with our lives, I don't want anyone to treat me differently or feel like they can't say certain things around me. . I still love kids and I still want to do that.” [be] I'm glad that all my friends are having a good time. I know that my little soldiers are there watching over us and giving us strength.

“Every day that God continues to wake me up, I want to obey Him and do the right thing and make Him proud. This will be difficult, but that's life. It's always been that way. And it probably will continue to be that way.”

Mr. Adeniji concluded his letter by saying he appreciates everyone's prayers and support as he and his wife go through this difficult time.

The sixth-round pick out of Kansas State played his first three NFL seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and appeared in four games with the Minnesota Vikings in 2023.

Adeniji is currently on injured reserve with a knee injury and has yet to play in the regular season for the Browns.
