Browns defensive lineman Mike Hall Jr. was arrested in Ohio on Monday after he allegedly held a gun to a woman’s head and threatened to kill her.
During the argument, Hall allegedly pressed a gun to the side of the woman’s head and said, “I’m going to kill you all. I don’t care,” according to the police report. Quoted by ESPN.
The accuser told police she was Hall’s fiance, that they had an 11-month-old baby together, and that the argument began over a discussion about the financial situation of Hall’s daughter from a previous relationship.
Hall, 21, was charged with domestic violence but pleaded not guilty.
He is being held on $10,000 bail and has a hearing scheduled for September 10th.
The woman told police Hall ordered her to leave the home, but then he grabbed her by the leg and pulled her back down the driveway and into the house.
The woman’s mother provided a written statement to police alleging that Hall hit the accuser with a baby bottle and then choked her.
Hall left the home before police arrived, but was arrested Monday night in Avon, Ohio.
Police said there were two guns on the mattress and “several signs of a physical confrontation,” according to ESPN.
The Browns released a statement about the arrests on Tuesday.
“We are aware of last night’s incident involving Mike Hall Jr.,” the statement said. “Mike and his representatives are in contact with the appropriate authorities. We are gathering more information and will not be making any further comment at this time.”
Hall starred at Ohio State and the Browns selected him in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft.
