Bruce Springsteen postpones tour dates for the next ten days under ‘doctor’s direction’

After being forced to postpone his show in Marseille last night due to “vocal problems”, Bruce Springsteen has now been forced to postpone two further shows on “doctor’s orders”.

In a statement His official Instagram account, Springsteen and band announced the postponement.

“Following further tests and consultations, doctors have decided that Bruce will not be performing for the next 10 days after yesterday’s show in Marseille was postponed due to vocal problems,” the post read.

“In light of this, additional postponements have been necessary for Prague’s Letnany Airport (originally scheduled for May 28th) and Milan’s San Siro Stadium (originally scheduled for June 1st and 3rd). New dates for these shows will be announced shortly,” it continued.

Fans seeking refunds were directed to the original point of purchase.

The post concludes, “Bruce is recovering well and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their hugely successful European Stadium Tour at Madrid’s spectacular Civitas Metropolitan on June 12th.”

A representative for Springsteen did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Springsteen was forced to cancel all of his 2023 tour dates due to a digestive ulcer, but finally resumed touring in March of this year.

In October 2023, he opened up about the pain caused by the disease, colloquially described as a burning stomach pain. The Mayo Clinic defines a peptic ulcer as “an open sore in the lining of the stomach and upper part of the small intestine.”

“I just want to take a moment to thank my fans for their patience and understanding as our postponed shows have been impacted. I am truly sorry, but these stomach symptoms are laughable and unfortunately continue to rock my inner world,” he said on SiriusXM’s E Street radio show, “From My Home to Yours.”

“Phoenix, first of all, I apologize if we caused you any discomfort last time we had to postpone the show. … I hope we didn’t cause you too much trouble,” the “Born in the USA” singer told the crowd, according to the Associated Press.
