The 75-year-old rocker gave a new interview Variety Award Circuit Podcast He then explained why his peptic ulcer disease was not included in the Tom Jimney-oriented project, which records Springsteen’s 2023-2025 World Tour.
“We ruled out that because I didn’t think my peptic ulcer was worthy of a movie,” Springsteen explained.
“I actually enjoyed my vacation, but you hate disappointing your fans,” he said. “And actually, it took a while for the whole thing to settle down and give myself a reply.”
The musician said, “It was an unusual experience because I’m usually quite covered in iron. But no, we didn’t think it would become part of this story.”
Springsteen’s health battle forced him to get a six-month break from his world tour with the E Street Band from September 2023 to March 2024.
The “Glory Days” singer said she was against variety and Balance filming, but that’s changed now.
“We didn’t believe the magician should watch his magic tricks too well. “And we were fine. It’s really amazing to have the film we have when we were young guys.”
“We should at least shoot everything. When touring and albums were enjoying filming once, we enjoy filming with our records. Now it’s just part of our work.”
The Grammy Award winner also spoke about “Delivery Me From Nowhere,” a biopic of his life that will be portrayed by “Bear” star Jeremy Allen White.
“They pitched the idea and I said, ‘It sounds fun,'” Springsteen recalled. “It’s only a few years since my life. It’s ’81, ’82, and it centers around making that particular record while recording at the same time as ‘born in America’.
Calling the Scott Cooper movie “Fantastic,” Springsteen said he was impressed with White 34.
“I was on tour during a lot of it, so they filmed a fair amount if they weren’t there,” Springsteen explained. “But I used to have sets sometimes, and it was fun to play and look at my grandmother’s house again, go inside and get the general feeling like when you were very young.
The biopic that will appear later this year is an adaptation of a book of the same name by Warren Zaneth.
Included in the cast Jeremy Strong Springsteen manager, Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father, Gabby Hoffman as Springsteen’s mother, Paul Walter Hauser as guitar technician Mike Butlan, and Odessa Young as Springsteen’s love interest.
“It’s a nice cast and I’m a bit involved,” Springsteen previously said on “The Graham Norton Show.”
“This is not easy, as you cannot imitate. You have to make a personal interpretation,” he continued. “It’s difficult, but he’s a great actor and sings pretty good songs.”
