FOXBORO, Mass. — Bryce Huff's contract push came to an end on a hectic Sunday.
The Jets edge rusher sacked Patriots quarterback Bailey Zappe twice, ending the season with 10 sacks as the Jets won 17-3.
This is a career high and came two months before he was scheduled to become a free agent.
Huff said he plans to do what's right for him and that means the Jets won't receive any preferential treatment on his contract.
“We don't give discounts,” Huff said. “I worked very hard. I feel like I owe it to myself, my family, and the people around me to maximize my income. I'm definitely open to any scenario, any team. I just… I just want to do what’s best for me at the end of the day.”
Huff entered the game with eight sacks. He said going into the game he wanted to reach double digits.
“I didn't want to leave the season at 8 or 9 o'clock,” Huff said. “We absolutely had to make it happen today.”

I'm sure many Jets fans are upset that the Jets winning this game affected their position in the NFL Draft.
They were sitting at No. 7 in the draft as of Sunday, but could move up to No. 5 with a loss or other outcome.
Instead, the Jets will draft him with the ninth overall pick.
They are expected to be in the market for an offensive tackle.
The Jets' 2024 opponent has been decided. The order of performance will be announced in the spring. Their opponents are:
Home: Bills, Patriots, Dolphins, Texans, Colts, Rams, Seahawks, 3rd place team in the AFC West (loser of Raiders vs. Broncos)
Away: Bills, Patriots, Dolphins, Jaguars, Titans, Cardinals, 49ers, Steelers, NFC North third-place finisher (Bears or Vikings)
It was the Jets' first win in Foxboro since their 2010 divisional playoff victory.
They had lost their previous 12 games at Gillette Stadium. …This is the Jets' first road win over a district opponent since they defeated the Bills in the final game of the 2019 season, ending their district road losing streak at 11.
W.R. Allen Lazard He became a healthy scratch for the second time this season on Sunday. The Jets signed Lazard to a four-year, $44 million contract in the offseason.
“I'll sit here and guarantee you he's going to have a much better year in 2024 than 2023,” Jets coach Robert Saleh Said. “He’s made of the right materials, built the right way, and he’s going to attack it and find ways to get better.”
