Buck: Boebert makes Santos ‘look like a saint’

Former Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) apparently had some pertinent words for fellow Colorado Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert at a recent Rotary Club meeting, according to a new report from Politico.

“I was asked about her moving across the mountains to run in the 4th Congressional District, and I didn’t say anything,” Buck said. Said In the audio played on the radio program “The Dan Caprice Show.” “I’ve been asked dozens of times. I haven’t said a word about it.”

Mr. Buck attended a local Rotary club meeting and commented: according to Politico was the first to report the existence of the audio. He cited several incidents involving Boebert, including one in which she was removed from a Denver theater for “causing a disturbance” during a musical performance.

“She makes (former Rep. George Santos, RN.Y.) look like a saint,” Buck joked in the audio, referring to the disgraced former lawmaker who was expelled from the House late last year.[formerRepGeorgeSantos(R-NY)looklikeasaint”Buckquippedintheaudioreferringtothedisgracedex-congressmanwhowasexpelledfromtheHouselatelastyear[formerRepGeorgeSantos(R-NY)looklikeasaint”Buckquippedintheaudioreferringtothedisgracedex-congressmanwhowasexpelledfromtheHouselatelastyear

Boebert was then asked to give an audio interview on a radio show, to which she said Buck was “totally irrelevant and a huge embarrassment to Colorado.”

“Voters here … are very dissatisfied with him,” Boebert said. “And I don’t really care what he asks about me.”

Buck announced earlier this month that she would retire from Congress at the end of last week rather than at the end of her term, dealing a blow to Boebert’s plans to win her former seat. A special election will be held in June to fill Buck’s seat, but Boebert said he has no intention of resigning from his current position as Colorado’s 3rd Congressman to run in that election. .

“Yesterday’s Ken Buck announcement was a gift to the Unionist Party. The establishment concocted a shady backroom deal to try to rig an election that I won by 25 points,” Boebert said. He talked about his decision to retire early.

The Hill has reached out to Buck for comment.
