of buffalo billshome playoff game with pittsburgh steelers New York Governor Cathy Hochul announced the postponement on Saturday. There has been no official announcement from the NFL or the team at this time.
I have been in contact with @NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell spoke about the dangerous conditions in Buffalo this weekend.
In consultation with our emergency response team, @Buffalo Bills Leadership and the NFL have announced that the Bills game will be postponed to Monday at 4:30 p.m.

The game has been moved from Sunday at 1:00 pm ET to Monday at 4:30 pm ET. Monday is a federal and state holiday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
The reason for the postponement is a total travel ban in Erie County, where Buffalo's home base of Orchard Park is located. A band of lake-effect snow is expected to affect the area surrounding the stadium, which, combined with extremely strong winds, will result in whiteout conditions across the region from Saturday night into late Sunday.
This isn't the first time a Bills game has been rescheduled due to inclement weather. In November 2022, the Bills' home game against the Cleveland Browns was moved to Detroit after a major snowstorm flooded the field. In 2014, after a similar event, the Bills hosted the New York Jets in Detroit. In December 2017, Bills and Indianapolis Colts played in unexpectedly heavy snow It didn't start until game time.
This will definitely have an impact on the next playoff round as well. The winner between the Bills and Steelers will then play the team that won Saturday's game after two more days of rest.
