Vienna:
A Bulgarian cruise ship crashed into the concrete wall of a Danube River lock overnight in the northern Austrian town of Aschach an der Donau, injuring 11 people, local police said Saturday.
The ship was carrying about 160 passengers from Bavaria, Germany, bound for the Austrian city of Linz, a police spokesperson in the nearby town of Efelding said.
A spokesperson said 11 injured people were taken to hospitals and the ship was able to continue sailing after the accident.
A spokesperson said the extent of his injuries was not immediately clear.
Local media reported that six other people suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
