Bunny XO Discusses Divorce from Jelly Roll on Podcast
Bunny XO recently shared insights about her divorce from Jelly Roll on her podcast, “Dumb Blonde.” During the conversation, the 46-year-old podcaster opened up about the circumstances that led to their split, clearing up rumors of an affair.
After the argument, she left the house and didn’t speak to him for weeks. “It was a tough time,” she said, reflecting on how they avoided communicating during that period.
Emotional Fallout and Therapy
“He was really angry, and things were so emotional that he ended up following through with my words and filed for divorce,” Bunny explained. She admitted she wasn’t blindsided by the situation but acknowledged it wasn’t a mutual decision. “I spoke out of frustration, but we definitely needed a wake-up call to have some serious conversations.”
After Jelly Roll filed for divorce, Bunny began hormone replacement therapy and attended therapy herself, feeling the need to pull herself out of a mental slump. “I still see him as my best friend,” she added, expressing her hope for better communication. “I thought we could find a way to work it out, but he didn’t feel the same, and I get that.”
The IVF Journey
Despite their tumultuous relationship, Bunny revealed they are still working toward having a child. They’ve been through a challenging IVF process, losing multiple embryos, which has added strain to their relationship.
“Over the last year and a half, we really lost touch. I think I cared a bit more than he did. I’ve always been his protector, the one who held us together,” she reflected, noting the imbalance in their emotional investment during that time.
Following the announcement of their divorce, rumors of infidelity spread online. Bunny firmly denied these claims, stating, “No one cheated. We simply fulfilled our purpose for each other.” There were whispers about her possibly leaving for Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, which she found amusing given her fondness for the band’s music.
“Sure, I posted some Nickelback songs, but I didn’t even realize they were breakup songs at the time. It wasn’t intended to hurt anyone,” she explained, clarifying her intentions.
Moving On
Bunny mentioned that while she hasn’t started dating, she supports Jelly Roll in his new endeavors, joking about his readiness to find someone else. “He’s moving on, and I think it’s great. He deserves to be happy.”
Reflecting on their journey, Bunny shared how they began their relationship, marrying in Las Vegas in 2016. She became a stepmother to Jelly Roll’s children, Bailey and Noah, and the pair’s history will always have its complexities.
