Burger King customers in Ohio got a surprise byproduct of their kids' meals: free marijuana.
User Jannabamma I posted a viral TikTok He holds up a bowl of buds he found in an order of chicken fries he bought for his kids at Burger King in Hamilton. WDTN reported.
“She got chicken fries. Chicken fries and…” the woman said, gesturing to the Burger King meal next to the marijuana.
“You can't make this up,” she wrote in the caption. “I'm not looking for that side of this.”
Burger King confirmed it was legal and promptly fired the employee responsible.
A Burger King spokesperson told the magazine: “We contacted the restaurant's franchisee as soon as we learned of this incident and can confirm that the employee in question has been terminated.”
“We are very sorry to learn of this incident and do not take any incident that puts our guests at risk lightly.”
No formal police report has been filed, but the Hamilton Police Department is “actively investigating the incident,” the paper said.
The video garnered more than 138,000 likes and 4,000 comments, expressing both jealousy and shock.
“What the hell did you order…? Like…what exactly did you say to get that exact order? I'm asking for a friend,” one user jokingly wrote.
“Well you asked for a nug!” another user joked.
