She’s almost there.
With five games left in the regular season, Iowa Hawkeyes point guard Caitlin Clark is eight points away from setting the NCAA Division I women’s all-time scoring record.
In their last contest, the No. 2-ranked team in Iowa lost 82-79 to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, falling 31 points behind Clark, who is averaging 32.1 points per game this season.
She will now set the record against the Michigan Wolverines on Thursday, February 15th at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
As of now, tickets are available for the highly anticipated matchup.
However, it costs considerably more than the average college basketball regular season game.
At the time of publication, the lowest price we found was $246 before fees from Vivid Seats.
It may sound sudden, but Thursday is almost certainly the night that records will be broken. Clark has never scored fewer than 21 points in a game so far this season.
In fact, she hadn’t had a single game in which she scored in single digits since her freshman year.
