Dakich Praises Bear Bachmeier Following Notre Dame Game

Dan Dakich had a lot to say about Bear Bachmeier’s performance against Notre Dame. Bachmeier, upset by what he felt was disrespect towards his family during the recruiting process, was determined not to lose the game. And it showed. While many players might talk a good game, Bachmeier really delivered—he played hard and, well, he just kept playing.

Meanwhile, Rylee Arnold enjoyed an eventful weekend. On Saturday, she found herself in Provo, Utah, witnessing BYU’s stunning upset over the No. 2-ranked Notre Dame. Her boyfriend, Walker Lyons, made a significant contribution by catching the game-winning touchdown. He ended the game with five catches, with that all-important 49-yard catch standing out significantly. And yes, his postgame celebration definitely deserves a spot in the record books.

After soaking up the victory with Lyons, Rylee rushed off to Los Angeles for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show red carpet—definitely a change of scene from the game. Sporting a luxurious dress in place of her oversized BYU sweatshirt, she was all about showcasing the duality of her life.

While attending the fashion show was certainly a fun outing, it also had a business aspect for the 21-year-old. It was a chance to network with other high-profile individuals—after all, she can’t dance forever. And speaking of BYU, if they keep up their current momentum, who knows? They might just be heading into the College Football Playoff picture.

But, of course, that means they need to stay on a winning streak. Rylee, an accomplished dancer, also has her own competitions to focus on with her partner, Connor Wood, in season 35 of Dancing With the Stars. She’s undoubtedly ready for the challenge, juggling her passions in the spotlight.

So, best of luck to both BYU and Rylee as they pursue their respective paths—who knows? We may very well see BYU in the running for a National Championship by December.
