Three people have been arrested in connection with a recent street siege in Highland, California, one of whom was just 15 years old.
One of the incidents happened on May 11 at Victoria and Highland streets, where about 100 people gathered for a dangerous event later that night. NBC Los Angeles report on friday.

When San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene and attempted to disperse the group, the crowd surrounded the officers, kicking and punching their patrol car, shattering the windshield.
Video footage show According to KTLA, chaotic scenes could be seen with young people gathered around a car, and authorities told the outlet that someone had opened a fire hydrant, allowing water to flow and making it easier for the car to “drift” on the sidewalk.

Among those arrested was a 15-year-old boy from Menifee who was charged with attempted carjacking and felony criminal damage to property after police said the boy opened the door to a deputy’s room and attempted to carjack the patrolman.
Police said the deputy was able to close the door and escape the crowd.
Hours before that incident, a separate incident occurred at 5th Avenue and Tippecanoe Road, in which police arrested two people, who were eventually released.
According to Breitbart News, a street protest occurred in Compton in January, during which a local bakery was looted and robbed.

“The Compton Sheriff’s Office said about 100 people took part in the street takeover, some of whom burned trash and debris in the road before the mob took over the store,” the outlet reported, adding that the suspect fled when police arrived on the scene.
In another street siege that took place in Los Angeles in March, a driver attempting a stunt lost control of his pickup truck, then crashed into a group of bystanders at the scene, Breitbart News reported.

“Street squatting has become increasingly common in California and major U.S. cities, resulting in numerous serious injuries and deaths,” the report said.
