INDIANAPOLIS — Caitlin Clark is on a roll.
Clark had one of the best games of his early career on Sunday, scoring 23 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to go with nine assists and eight rebounds in the Fever’s 91-83 win over the Sky.
Gainbridge Fieldhouse was abuzz from the first minute of the game until the final whistle as the Fever recorded back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
Indiana (5-10) has won four of six games overall after starting the season 1-8.
Clark acknowledged that things are progressing well as he gets used to his teammates and professional competition.
“I had some good matches and some matches that were definitely learning opportunities,” she said, adding that she is trying to “find consistency.”
The Fever’s season began with a tough four-game series against the league’s top teams, the Sun and Liberty, as well as 11 games in 20 days.

“Obviously it was tough. It was tough early on, given the limited number of games and practice time,” Clark said.
“I’m trying to get along with my teammates and the coaching staff, and I feel like I’m getting more comfortable with each game. There’s still more than half of the season left, but I feel like I’ve really grown a lot.”
Clark has garnered a lot of attention since her collegiate days for her ability to knock down deep three-pointers, but her passing can be just as lethal.
Six of Clark’s nine assists have gone to Aliyah Boston, last season’s WNBA Rookie of the Year, and the pair are clearly starting to develop a bond.
“From the first game until now, we’ve really got a great feel for playing off of each other, knowing where I’m going to be, knowing where she’s going to be and being able to set screens for her to shoot,” Boston said. “We’ve been doing a good job of building on that.”

Clark made another precise pass to Nalyssa Smith, who scored a layup with 30 seconds left to give the Fever an 88-83 lead, effectively sealing the game.
“She played a great game overall,” Fever head coach Christy Sides said.
