Caitlin Clarke reflected on her “best year” so far in her farewell message to 2024.
The Fever guard, who was selected No. 1 by the Indiana Fever in this year's WNBA Draft and won Rookie of the Year, shared his favorite moments from 2024 in a photo collage posted to Instagram on Tuesday. .
“My favorite moment of the best year ever,” Clark, 22, wrote. “It’s time to make 2025 even better🖤📓💫”
Clark's photo included her boyfriend, Connor McCaffrey, who is now an assistant coach at Butler after serving as an assistant with the Pacers last season.
“Queen,” McCaffrey commented with a heart and hand emoji. This is the gesture Clark does on the court when he sees his family at a game.
McCaffery is a former member of the Iowa State men's basketball team and the son of Iowa State head coach Fran McCaffery.
One photo showed the couple smiling at a Halloween party in October.
Another snapshot included Clark taking a selfie of the couple with the trophy visible.
Other photos show Clark during his senior season at the University of Iowa, where the guard led the Hawkeyes to back-to-back Final Four appearances and lost to South Carolina in the national title game in April of this year. He was pictured playing in the national title game, including the one he lost 87-75.
The month before, Clark became the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball.
Clark and McCaffrey are said to have met while attending the University of Iowa.
