WNBA Star Caitlin Clark Hits the Golf Course

WNBA standout Caitlin Clark recently transitioned from basketball to golf, participating in the LPGA Annika Pro-Am at Pelican Golf Club. This year, the Indiana Fever guard took the opportunity to showcase her golfing skills.

Teaming up with Dan Toweris and Jordan Jackson, Clark began her round on Wednesday morning. Notably, she was paired with Nelly Korda, a two-time major LPGA winner, for the initial holes. Korda reminisced about her enjoyable experiences with Clark on a golf course in Florida. “That first tee shot was something out of a book, honestly. It’s really fun to see how connected she is with other sports,” Korda remarked to reporters.

Clark made a memorable impression by sinking a remarkable 35-foot putt, which earned enthusiastic applause from onlookers and even a celebratory fist pump from the two-time WNBA All-Star.

Her teammates, Sophie Cunningham and Lexi Hull, were there to cheer her on, sporting caddy vests that prominently displayed “Indiana.” The camaraderie on the course seemed palpable as they supported Clark during her shots.

In reflecting on her day, Clark discussed the complexities of golf. “It’s a tough game,” she noted. “As an amateur, you face days where your putting is great and others where it’s simply not.” She shared how sometimes it feels like everything is off, yet somehow, the enjoyment of the game prevails. She added with a smile, “I don’t take it too seriously; it’s just fun.”

In 2025, Clark’s basketball season faced interruptions due to injuries. She was unfortunately ruled out for the remainder of the season in September after sustaining a groin injury in July during a game with the Connecticut Sun.

However, she recently revealed that she has fully recovered and is eager to participate in the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. “I’m feeling completely healthy now, and I’m trying to make the most of the fall in Indianapolis before it gets too chilly,” the 24-year-old mentioned, according to the Palm Beach Post.
