Because who else?
The WNBA announced Thursday that Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark has officially been rewarded with the league’s 2024 “Rookie of the Year” award.
Having a national panel of broadcasters and sportswriters doing the voting, Clark received 66 out of 67 votes. (Who was the lone hater?) (RELATED: ’60 Minutes’ Makes Most Ridiculous Claim Ever Regarding Caitlin Clark And WNBA’s Skyrocketing Popularity)
In Indiana Fever franchise history, Clark is the third player ever to win Rookie of the Year, with forwards Aliyah Boston and Tamika Catchings winning the other two in 2023 and 2002, respectively. Back in September, Clark was also given the Associated Press “Rookie of the Year” award.
“I am incredibly honored to be named Rookie of the Year, but more than that, I am grateful to everyone that supported me throughout this past season – my family and friends, my teammates, the Fever organization and everyone that cheered us on all season. I am so proud of what we accomplished and so excited for what the future holds,” Clark stated.
Out of Iowa, the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft had an absolutely historic rookie season, breaking several records on and off the court. She finished the 2024 campaign with a stat line of 19.2 points per game, 8.4 rebounds per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 1.3 steals per game.
one of the best rookie seasons ever.

Seriously, though, who is the only media member who voted against Caitlin?
We need to get to the bottom of that because the hate is EXTRAORDINARY.
