On the court, the Caitlin Clark vs. Angel Reese match has become must-see TV, but off the court, things apparently aren’t as hectic.
The two WNBA rookies garnered national attention last year when Reese mocked Clark, saying “you can’t see me” and pointing at her ring finger in the final seconds of Louisiana State’s win over Iowa.
Clark and the Hawkeyes got revenge in the Elite Eight last season, but lost again in the national championship game, this time to South Carolina.

As a pro, Clark knows Reese’s number inside out, with the Indiana Fever going 2-0 against Reese’s Chicago Sky.
The two will face off again on Sunday in what is sure to be a highly anticipated match.
But despite the storylines and attention, Clarke says there’s no rivalry between her and Reese.
“I think you guys are the only ones who see this as a rivalry,” Clark told reporters. The Indiana Fever defeated the Atlanta Dream on Friday night.“To us, it’s just a basketball game. That’s the reality. If it helps move the game forward, then yeah, that’s great. That’s the way it should be. People can talk about it.”

Caitlin Clark’s championship hopes fade: ‘Everyone likes instant gratification’
Speaking shortly after the 2023 title fight, Clark said he shouldn’t have criticised Rees “at all.”
“My girlfriend and I competed and it was very, very fun and I think it’s going to bring more people to our game,” Clark said at the time.
Reese said in February that the two were “good friends,” and they were spotted together at the WNBA Draft.
But Ms Reese appeared to criticise Ms Clark on social media last month, although her mother says it was aimed at the media.
