Caitlin Clark Helps Indiana Fever Secure Victory Over Seattle Storm

On Sunday evening, Caitlin Clark had a standout performance as the Indiana Fever triumphed over the Seattle Storm with a score of 89-78.

Clark scored 21 points, shooting 5-of-10, while also sinking all nine of her free throws and landing two 3-pointers. It was interesting to note that this was the first time since September 19, 2024, that she made less than ten field goal attempts. In fact, earlier in that game against the Washington Mystics, she had taken only five shots in the first 19 minutes.

After the game, Clark reflected on her performance, realizing that her team didn’t need to rely heavily on her shots to achieve success. She recorded ten assists, matching her last performance of that caliber, which took place on July 13, 2025, against the Dallas Wings. However, it’s worth mentioning that shortly after that game, she suffered an injury that sidelined her for a significant portion of the 2025 season.

“There’s no reason to press. I want my teammates to participate,” she commented. “I think I did well getting to the line, so perhaps I don’t need to take as many shots. I only played 23 minutes, but I got to the line nine times. I think I can improve on really focusing on getting to the line for those easy points.”

Clark did lead the Fever in scoring, but she received notable support from Kelsey Mitchell, who added 17 points in 28 minutes, and Sophie Cunningham, who matched that same score alongside three rebounds. The Fever went on without Aliyah Boston, who was sidelined due to a lower leg injury.

Next up, the Indiana Fever will play against the Portland Fire at home on Tuesday night.
