Caitlin Clark reveals why she liked Taylor Swift’s Kamala Harris endorsement

Caitlin Clark had a special reason for “liking” Taylor Swift's Instagram post on Thursday night officially endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election.

The Indiana Fever star was asked before Wednesday night's matchup with the Las Vegas Aces why he liked the pop star's post-debate post, and Clark cited his “great platform” as the reason.

Clark, 22, stopped short of formally endorsing Harris but explained why he wants to urge people to vote in November.

“I have a great platform, so I think the biggest thing is encouraging people to register to vote,” she said. “This is the second time I've been able to vote. [presidential] Voting. At 22, I could vote just as well as I could at 18. That's what I can do. That's the biggest thing I can do with the platform that I have. The same thing that Taylor did. And I think we should continue to educate ourselves about the candidates that we have and the policies that they support.

“I think that's the biggest thing you can do and I would encourage everyone in our country who has the opportunity to do that.”

Clark did not endorse either candidate, but he is a Liberty Star Breanna Stewart spoke to USA Today during the Summer Olympics. She said she and other WNBA players will do everything in their power to “support” Harris in her bid for the White House against former President Donald Trump.

“Whatever she stands for, we stand for,” Stewart said. “So we're going to continue to come together and make sure people know the message of registering to vote, where to vote and all the resources behind it.”
