Caitlin Clark rocks Yankees jersey, takes field during Olympic break

Saturday was The House that Caitlin Built.

Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark visited Yankee Stadium during her Olympic break to watch the Bombers-Rangers doubleheader, tour the stadium and meet the players before the game.

She and boyfriend Connor McCurphy were photographed taking batting practice on the foul zone turf as the Yankees prepared for their two-game game.

Clarke has also been spotted in the training room with Yankees superstar Aaron Judge.

Clark was controversially cut from the U.S. women’s basketball team for the Paris Olympics, which allowed her to take a year off from basketball, with only a brief break between the Iowa Hokies’ loss in the national title game and starting her rookie year with the Fever.

She made the most of the opportunity by enjoying a variety of activities with her teammates, including sunbathing on a boat and going to a Jordan Davis concert.

Clark’s first season in the WNBA has been a sensation, picking up right where her collegiate career left off.

While the Fever struggled early on, Clarke eased into the All-Star team, drawing sellout crowds wherever she went and causing merchandise sales to soar.

Her rivalry with Angel Reese was also front-page news whenever the Fever played against the Chicago Sky.

Clark’s removal from the U.S. Olympic team has raised many questions, including from selector Dawn Staley, but so far the biggest impact has not been on the results, but on the spectators watching the U.S. run at the tournament.

The U.S. team defeated Australia 85-64 in the semifinals on Friday to advance to the gold medal round against France.

They are 5-0 so far in the Olympics, but only one opponent has allowed them to win by double digits.

The powerful U.S. team has not lost since 1992, when they finished with the bronze medal.
