Aliya Boston Supports Teammate During Match

During Saturday’s game between the Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky, Aliya Boston stepped in to support Kate Clark when Angel Reese confronted her.

The situation escalated when Clark fouled Reese, which was later deemed a flagrant foul. Reese took issue with the play, and after Boston positioned herself to intervene, Clark exited the scene, resulting in a technical foul for both players.

In the media session after the game, it was revealed to Clark and Boston that the latter had received a technical foul. Without hesitation, Clark offered to cover the fine for her teammate.

Boston expressed her disbelief when she found out she would be fined $200, reacting candidly, saying, “What the heck?” She certainly didn’t expect that.

Clark’s gesture was commendable. With a reported $28 million deal with Nike and earnings exceeding $75,000 this season, she is well positioned to assist her teammate. Despite the financial hit, it reflects a strong bond and could serve as a morale booster as they aim to enhance their chemistry on the court, especially as they look to develop into a formidable offensive duo this season.
