Granted, we’re only two games in, but that’s a fair question, especially after this terrible performance.
New York Liberty challenger Caitlin Clark made her home debut for the Indiana Fever on Thursday night, and things didn’t quite go right.Fever was smashed by Liberty with incredible force. 36 points, completely silencing the home crowd. So I shut down Clark.
In Tuesday’s first game against the Connecticut Sun, Clark had a historically dismal performance, committing a staggering 10 turnovers, a new WNBA record. It was the most turnovers ever in his debut game. But Clark’s second contest was even worse. (Related: This Caitlin Clark bobblehead is totally disrespectful (but insanely funny)
Against Liberty, Clark posted just nine points, seven rebounds, and six assists. To make matters worse, she only had her two points (2!) at halftime.
Wow!
Diana Taurasi: “Reality comes in. There are levels to this. That’s just life and we’ve all experienced it.”
CC fans: “Jealous!”

I defended Caitlin Clark after her first performance. After all, it was the first game and she got away with 20 points, but this 9 points is nonsense…hmm, she can’t defend it.
My thoughts after seeing such an abysmal performance are: How long will we call this chick bust?
With hype like hers, 9 points isn’t enough. I want numbers to go with all the fuss. Either that or BUST.
