Caitlin Clark Faces Another Injury, Feverstar Brothers Criticized

Caitlin Clark has suffered another injury, leading to criticism aimed at the Feverstar brothers.

“Don’t get it wrong, this is in the left,” posted Colin, Caitlin’s younger brother, on X.

During a match on Tuesday night at Boston’s TD Garden, Clark injured her right groin, marking her fourth injury in just three months.

The 23-year-old has been dealing with quad issues since preseason, which caused her to miss five games in May and early June. She also had a prior left groin injury that led to this latest concern.

Colin’s post seems to reference an incident from the third quarter when his sister became visibly upset with referee Michael Price over a non-call.

Clark was frustrated and had a seemingly normal exchange with Kaki until the official said something and turned to leave.

She reportedly exclaimed, “Are you teasing me?” and “That’s just rude. I’m growing up.”

It’s possible Colin stirred up more discussions in the WNBA regarding the consistent lack of calls Clark has faced this season.

The Fever had a strong performance in their previous game, winning 102-83 against the Wings on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. Commentator Rebecca Lobo remarked on how defenders often escape fouls, while Ryan Rucco highlighted various fouls that went uncalled.

There was no clear play during which Clark was injured on Tuesday, but Colin seemed to imply that her injuries stem from the ongoing physicality she endures throughout games.

Despite the challenges, the Fever secured an 85-77 victory in Tuesday’s match. Coach Steph White mentioned to the Indianapolis Star that there were “no updates” regarding Clark’s condition.

“I felt something a little in her groin, so I’ll assess it and see what happens,” White stated, leaving her availability for Wednesday’s game against Liberty and the WNBA All-Star Game uncertain.
