Injury Concerns for Indiana Fever’s Star
Collinschlak, the brother of Indiana Fever player Kate Rinklark, raised alarms about an injury affecting WNBA officials during last night’s game. Rinklark had to leave in the final moments after seemingly suffering from discomfort following a bounce pass to teammate Kelsey Mitchell. In an apparent moment of frustration, she walked toward the basket, hitting her head against the padding. It was an emotional scene as she left the court in tears.
The two-time All-Star had previously missed several games due to injuries but had recently returned to full form after recovering from a more serious issue. However, the physicality on the court continued to worry her family. Colin Clark took to social media to express his concerns, stating, “Don’t get it wrong, this is in the lefin,” yet later deleted the post.
Caitlin Clark’s Emotional Exit
In a related event, Caitlin Clark also exited a game with visible distress. During the Indiana Fever’s matchup with the Connecticut Sun, tensions escalated, culminating in a brawl earlier in the season. After Indiana’s victory on Tuesday, head coach Stephanie White addressed the persistent physical play against Rinklark, noting that it’s something they need to work on as a team.
White remarked, “There’s a level of physicality that they can play against her. I knew it as an opponent, and I see it as her coach. I don’t know exactly why. It’s just what it is.” She emphasized the need for Rinklark to find ways to adapt to this heightened level of competition.
She added that the overall physicality in the WNBA has ramped up recently, stating, “Our league’s overall physicality level is at a different level than it was for a long time.”
