The recent footage featuring Caitlyn Clark has left many fans puzzled.
The Fever guard, who was reportedly dealing with a groin injury since July 15, stirred up conversations on social media after being spotted kicking a soccer ball during a visit to McCombs Middle School in Des Moines.
“Did you forget she had a groin injury?” a user posted on X, adding to the chatter on Tuesday.
“If she can manage that hip movement, she should be playing basketball,” another user commented.
One enthusiastic fan urged Clark, 23, to “take time to rest and heal!”
WNBA’s Rookie of the Year Clark has frequently found herself sidelined during her second season.
She initially missed games early in 2025 due to tightness in her left quadriceps and later faced a groin issue in late June.
Though she made a comeback in early July, she unfortunately had to sit out again later that month, which included missing the WNBA All-Star events.
ESPN’s Holly Rowe reported on Sunday that Clark had an appointment with a specialist last week, who confirmed no further injuries were detected during her examination.
“When she returned from her last injury, she didn’t have any practice time. This time, they’re ensuring she gets both practice and conditioning to find her rhythm with the team,” Rowe stated.
“Given their schedule, the third week of August seems like a realistic timeframe for her potential return,” Rowe added, emphasizing that Clark is taking it day by day.
The Fever, who recently won the Commissioner’s Cup, currently holds a 14-12 record, placing them sixth in the WNBA.
This season, Clark has averaged 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 8.8 assists over her 13 games. In comparison, last season, she played in 40 games, averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 8.4 assists.
The Fever will face the Mercury (16-9) on Wednesday.
