Caleb Williams discusses his injury and criticizes inaccurate reports.

Caleb Williams is looking to clarify details regarding his injury.

At a press conference on Thursday, the Bears quarterback discussed the hamstring injury he sustained during Week 2, asserting that the reports surrounding it have been inaccurate.

“Nothing that has been reported is correct about what the injury is and what it has been,” Williams stated. “I think, from your perspective, it’s important to report on these matters accurately.”

“And honestly, if it doesn’t come from me—the ‘boss man’—it’s likely incorrect. Every last one has been.”

When reporters continued with follow-up inquiries about the hamstring issue, Williams was quick to respond.

In reaction to a question about the severity of the strain, he insisted it didn’t merit being discussed “after all the false reporting.”

“That’s not fair. Next question, please. Thank you,” Williams replied after being asked why he was withholding specifics about his condition.

He also commented on criticism regarding his emotional response when he left the field due to his injury.

As he departed the game, Williams was seen visibly upset, tears in his eyes while being taken off the field, which sparked various conversations on social media.

“Of course, I’m going to express my emotions, especially when I can’t be out there with my teammates,” he remarked.

“I’m invested in the team, the organization, winning, being on the field, and my teammates—all of that. This is what I’m passionate about; it brings me joy. It means everything to me,” he said. “So, not being able to play was really frustrating. That’s where those tears came from.”

At 24 years old, Williams participated fully in practice for the second day in a row on Thursday, aiming for a comeback in Sunday’s matchup against the Falcons.

The Bears have managed to secure a 2-1 record during his absence, but they’ll be pleased to welcome the former No. 1 overall pick back on the field.

This season, Williams has amassed 407 passing yards and two touchdowns, completing 65.5 percent of his throws.
