California turns into a winter wonderland with snowfall

Parts of California have seen an unusual amount of snow over the past few days. Yosemite Park has been closed up to 15 feet since Saturday.

Gov. Gavin Newsom called for emergency assistance in San Bernardino and 12 other counties to help with disaster relief by making state agencies and aid available and seeking federal assistance in highway removal and repair. declared the situation.

In Crestline, the roof of Goodwin and Sons Market collapsed, and safety inspectors were examining the reported damage. Law said no one was hurt and officials quickly retrieved food.

“I know the roof is starting to collapse,” she said. “There are other businesses that are likely to be affected by the weight of the snow.”

Meanwhile, Yosemite National Park has indefinitely postponed Thursday’s planned reopening.
