Accident In Florida Involves Truck Driven by Illegal Immigrant

A truck driver, suspected of being an illegal immigrant, is facing allegations related to a crash in Fort Pierce, Florida, that resulted in three fatalities. Reports indicate the driver did not understand English or road signs.

Harjinder Singh crossed into the U.S. illegally in 2018 via a tropical border. He later secured a commercial driver’s license in California. However, his request for a work permit was initially denied by the Trump administration on September 14, 2020.

Trisha McLaughlin, the Deputy Director of Homeland Security, highlighted Singh’s earlier rejection. She directed criticism toward California Governor Gavin Newsom, implying his state’s Department of Motor Vehicles was at fault.

“Three innocent lives were lost in Florida because Gavin Newsom’s California DMV issued commercial licenses to illegal immigrants. This is a governance failure. How many more lives must be lost before @GavinNewsom prioritizes American safety?” McLaughlin tweeted.

In response, Newsom’s office stated that Singh met both federal and state immigration standards and had been issued a Work Permit.

“The Trump administration’s claims are either false or a result of ignorance,” he retorted.

McLaughlin remained firm, replying, “This is incorrect. Harjinder Singh is unlawfully in the U.S. His work permit was denied under Trump but granted under Biden on June 9, 2021.” She emphasized, “California issues commercial driver licenses; there are no federal CDLs,” pushing back against Newsom’s argument.

A host from BlazeTV, Sarah Gonzalez, expressed skepticism regarding Newsom’s aspirations for the presidency in 2028, suggesting his chances looked slim.
