Alex Cooper Accuses Former Soccer Coach of Sexual Harassment
In her upcoming Hulu documentary, Alex Cooper, the host of “Call Her Daddy,” has accused former Boston University soccer coach Nancy Feldman of sexual harassment.
The documentary, titled “Call Her Alex,” promises to be a significant highlight in Cooper’s career. Yet, she candidly shares some of the darker experiences from her past that have shaped her journey.
Cooper, who played soccer at Boston University from 2013 to 2015, revealed that she left the team just before her senior season. During her time at BU, she participated in 21 games during her sophomore and junior years, and 19 games as a freshman.
When the film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival, Cooper stated that Feldman’s harassment ultimately forced her to exit the team. She reflected on how this troubling situation began in her sophomore year, where it seemed that Feldman shifted her focus from coaching to prying into Cooper’s personal life. She recalled unsettling inquiries about her dating life and described instances where Feldman would place her hands on Cooper’s feet.
“I noticed that she was starting to become more attached to me compared to my teammates,” Cooper shared in the documentary. “That was confusing because there didn’t seem to be any compliments about my performance. It felt off.”
She added that Feldman seemed more interested in her personal relationships than sports, which left Cooper feeling uncomfortable. Despite attempts to distance herself, Feldman retaliated by limiting her playing time.
After the documentary’s release, Cooper discussed her experiences during a Q&A session, expressing the emotional impact of revisiting such a painful chapter. “The moment I got back on the field, I felt so vulnerable. It was like being 18 all over again, confronting someone who misused their power over me,” she explained.
After the film, Fox News Digital sought comments from both Boston University and Feldman. Feldman retired from coaching in 2022, and Cooper indicated that her concerns were often dismissed, with a warning from an attorney about potential long-term ramifications.
