The video featuring a series of celebrities wearing anti-Kanye West T-shirts is now viral, but that's not what it looks like. And Star Scarlett Johansson is not at all happy about it.
The video features celebrities such as David Schwimmer, Steven Spielberg, Jerry Seinfeld, Adam Sandler, Scarlett Johansson and Sacha Baron Cohen, despite the faces that appear in the video. , celebrities did not actually participate in its creation. That's because the entire video is a deep fake created by artificial intelligence tools.
The purpose of the ad, created by Israeli generative AI expert Ori Bejerano, is to blow up rapper and fashion mogul Kanye West as an anti-Semite. Each of the “celebs” in the ad wears a white T-shirt with the name Kanye under the painting of a hand with his middle finger raised and a bird turned over.
However, none of the well-known figures had anything to do with viral videos. It's all computer generated.
Some of the celebrities in the forged ads talked about Kanye. For example, this week friend Star David Schwimmer has been released I was urged X Chief Elon Musk bans west from social media platforms for anti-Semitic posts.
However, whether these celebrities agree with anti-Kanie sentiment, it appears that no one has been contacted by Begelano for permission to appear in this deep, fake protest video. and Black Widow Star Scarlett Johansson is not at all happy with her face in the video.
Johansson sent a statement to people A magazine protesting her inclusion.
“It has brought my attention from family and friends. In response to anti-Semitic views, AI-focused videos featuring my portraits are being distributed online and gaining traction.” She told the magazine.
“I am a Jewish woman who is not tolerant of any kind of anti-Semitism or hate speech. But I also think that the possibility of hate speech is harboring AI is what accountable. I firmly believe that it is a much bigger threat than that,” she said.
“We risk calling for misuse of AI or losing real-life holds regardless of the AI message,” Star continued.
“Unfortunately, I was a very public victim of AI, but the truth is that the threat of AI affects each and every one of us,” she said.
“It's horrifying that the US government is paralyzed when it comes to passing laws that protect all citizens from the immediate dangers of AI,” Johansson exclaimed. “I urge the US government to pass laws that limit AI's top priorities, a bipartisan issue that will have a major impact on the immediate future of humanity as a whole.”
Johansson was, in fact, a very public target for AI. In 2023, she sued the maker of a video using her portrait without permission. And last year, she blasted Openai by offering an audio program that sounded as suspicious as her own voice.
