Skatebo Stands Firm During WWE Event Amid Injury Recovery

Kam Skatebo, the rookie running back for the Giants, isn’t one to shy away from confrontation, regardless of his health situation.

As he recovers from an ankle injury that ended his season, Skatebo faced criticism after engaging in a brawl at WWE’s Monday Night Raw event at Madison Square Garden.

Sitting ringside for John Cena’s final appearance, Skatebo was drawn into a shoving match involving Giants teammate Andrew Schultz and the Judgment Day faction.

The altercation excited the crowd at the Garden but also sparked concern among Giants fans who were uneasy about Skatebo’s involvement while recovering from a serious injury he sustained in Week 8.

In response to the backlash, Skatebo’s mother expressed that she was unfazed by the outrage, appreciating the tough recovery journey. Skatebo himself commented, “If you don’t like how I’m having a good time while dealing with tough times, then feel free to unfollow me,” in a post on social media. He emphasized that, since he couldn’t play football, he was seeking joy in other activities.

Later in the event, after a loss in a six-man tag team match, Judgment Day stars interrupted Schultz’s interview, directing their taunts toward Skatebo. Dominik Mysterio, one of the members, poked fun at New York’s championship history and Skatebo’s knowledge of it.

When the situation escalated, Mysterio physically provoked both Schultz and Skatebo. Skatebo, watching from his scooter, finally stood up and retaliated against J.D. McDonough by pushing him down.

As chaos broke out, Skatebo maintained his stance, even playfully sticking out his tongue at the Judgment Day as they retreated.

Interestingly, the Philadelphia Eagles players, who were present that night, were met with loud boos from the crowd.

It’s possible Skatebo could have received a warmer reception if he had shown more enthusiasm for the Eagles’ players instead of focusing on their rivals.
