Cam Skattebo's partner posts vacation picture of the Giants player standing again

Cam Scatterbo is embracing the holiday season, despite facing a tough blow in his rookie year after suffering a leg injury during a game against the Eagles in Week 8.

His girlfriend, Chloe Rodriguez, recently posted a photo of Scatterbo working on decorating a Christmas tree, his foot snugly encased in a soft cast.

“Too early?” she quipped on her Instagram Story, complete with a festive emoji.

The couple has already set up Christmas stockings above their fireplace, plus they’ve got a cheerful screensaver on their TV, too.

Rodriguez, who graduated from California State University, Sacramento, wasn’t in that particular photo.

According to her social media, they started dating during their time at Arizona State University, and she was there when the Giants drafted him in the fourth round earlier this year.

Scatterbo endured a dislocated right ankle, an open tibia fracture, and a torn deltoid ligament during the challenging game, which ended with a 38-20 defeat. As reported by ESPN, the injury happened in the second quarter when he tried to catch a pass, but Eagles linebacker Zach Baun tackled him from behind, causing a tangle of legs.

After the game, he had to undergo emergency surgery in Philadelphia. Notably, “Big Dom” DiSandro, a senior Eagles advisor, even took the time to bring food to Scatterbo’s hospital room.

Coach Brian Daboll mentioned that once Scatterbo returned to New Jersey, he was seen “driving around” the team’s facility and attending meetings, with no further surgeries planned.

In the end, Scatterbo wrapped up his rookie season with impressive stats: 101 rushes for 410 yards and five touchdowns.

This Sunday, the Giants (2-7) are set to square off against the Bears (5-3) in Chicago.
