Cameron Brink expressed her appreciation for the artistry involved in posing “fully naked” during a recent photo shoot.
In her appearance on the “Straight 2 Cam” podcast, she reflected on her experience of being “naked” while filming with Player Magazine.
“I’m generally quite open and I trust the creatives around me,” Brink noted, referring to her teammate Dearlica Humvey and the various shoots they’ve done. “I was completely naked for that [Players] Shoot.”
Brink, who previously played basketball at Virginia Tech, seemed animated as she talked about her experiences.
When asked about her own comfort with nudity, she recounted, “Yeah, I was just walking around naked. I think there were mostly girls and some guys in the room. It didn’t really matter. But I enjoy the vision they have; I love the artistry. It’s fun to shoot things like that.”
Afterward, the 23-year-old likened her experience of shooting “completely naked” to being in the Sparks locker room, comfortably clothed in front of teammates and staff.
Michelle, Brink’s mother, voiced her admiration for her daughter’s confidence during the shoot and the poses she took.
“I love how they styled you during the whole [Players] filming,” Michelle shared. “It’s essentially art; you want it to make people look twice. You don’t want to reproduce the same looks everyone else does.”
Humvey, who is 31, humorously remarked that she usually covers up while walking through the locker room.
Michelle went on to express her joy in seeing Cameron so at ease, compared to her own feelings at that age. “What I admire is your comfort in your skin right now,” she said. “I never reached that level when I was an athlete; I always felt a bit nerdy about it.”
Earlier this year, Brink made her debut in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition.
On the podcast, she shared a light moment where she joked with her mother, pretending that her Sports Illustrated shoot was entirely nude.
Brink has also featured in various magazines, showcasing bikini styles. Last July, she graced the cover of Flaunt Magazine in their Gold Standard issue.
After being selected second overall by the Sparks in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Brink quickly garnered attention for her fashion-forward style.
Despite facing challenges, including recovering from a torn ACL last June that cut her first pro season short, she averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks, and 1.1 steals across 15 games.
Last fall, Brink announced her engagement to Ben Felter after a surprise proposal in Paris during Fashion Week.
