Can Queen Esther’s story save modern America?

In mid-March, both Jews and many Christians celebrated Purim, and to commemorate events in Jewish history, Queen Esther saved her life and saved people from certain deaths.

The story discovered in Esther's Old Testament BookIt is about the noble adviser of King Zerxes of Persia, named Haman. He devised a plot to eradicate all Jews in the Kingdom. Esther, a secretly Jewish man, had a cousin named Mordecai. Mordecai captured the winds of this plan and advised Esther to approach the lives of King Zerxes and the people. But Esther was well aware of the law. A man could not approach the king loudly. If a king finds no favor in a royal subject, the person could be dragged and executed immediately.

Whether we use our lives, the gifts God has given us, and the time God has given us to honor our Creator is entirely up to us.

Queen Esther asked her cousins to gather all the Jews and pray for three days before they could quickly repent of their sins and take a dangerous approach to the king's chamber. At the end of three days, intently seeking the Lord, Esther felt the confidence to approach the King. Through a series of wise and timely actions that followed, Esther was able to change Haman's table. Haman not only planned to eradicate the Jews, but also built a gallows to hang Mordecai to refuse to succumb to before him.

Mordecai had previously saved the king's life by revealing his assassination plan, so Zelx felt compelled to respect him. And Haman was assigned to take Mordecai in the royal robe and parade him to the king's horse through the streets of the king, allowing everyone to cheer and respect him!

Now, the story is hanged from the very gallows that Haman himself built for Mordecai, and all of his wealth and power was given to Queen Esther and her cousin Mordecai.

Is any of these stories important to us in America today? Can Queen Esther's example be used by us in the church to benefit our nation?

For Christians around the world, the rental season began on Ash Wednesday. During these 40 days, believers are encouraged to humble themselves, pray quickly, and focus on getting closer to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

This period of reflection and repentance leads to a new spirit and allows us to focus on what God desires from our lives. And in a life that is properly adjusted to God's things, the lives of others, even the whole nation, can be influenced for good.

One of the important poems and ideas that stem from Queen Esther's heroic life is Words of encouragement Her cousin Mordecai spoke to her: “Who knows if you came to the kingdom like this?”

God made no mistakes in Esther's life, and he also made no mistakes in the words spoken to her by her cousin, her wise counsel.

From this story, we must ensure that we were all born in an age like ours. why? Because we know that God does not make any mistakes and that we are no exception in our time. God looked down at the man and said, “Oh, Bill didn't use his life properly. I should have him be born in the mid-1800s in America and he might have been able to stop Abraham Lincoln from being assassinated! Hmm! My bad!”

Whether we use our lives, the gifts God has given us, and the time God has given us to honor our Creator is entirely up to us.

And the time and place we find ourselves today!

The window of opportunity can help each of us participate in large and small ways from the state of “basic transformation” of the past 16 years.

Pastor Jonathan Kahn Recently, I have delivered a powerful and prophetic message National prayer breakfast Members of the Washington, D.C. Congress were present in that message, and he challenged Christians to be aware of pleas using the window of opportunity. 2 Chronicle 7:14 (NIV):

If my people, called by my name, humble, pray, seek my face, turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins, and heal their lands.

Many Bibles encourage us on this journey to recovery. For example, in Galatians 5St. Paul said that it is because of freedom that Christ has freed us. Therefore, stand firm and do not burden yourself again by the yoke of slavery. ”

He continues:

And Paul says that we will deal with “a sin that is very easy to intertwin” (Hebrews 12:1). 1 Corinthians:

Apart from what humanity has in common, temptation has not surpassed you. And God is faithful. He will not be seduced beyond what you can endure. But when you are seduced, he will provide an exit so you can withstand it.

The Christian Rock Group Casting Crown has a powerful song that reminds Christians of the true purpose and focus of life. The group's song, “One Yes,” contains these lyrics.

And I don't want to leave a legacy
I don't care if they remember me or not
Only Jesus
And I just have one life to live
I'll make him point for a moment
Only Jesus

(The whole song is amazing, worth listening, you can read the rest of the lyrics here. )

Along with this, the popular daily prayer “my best my efforts” from the February 24th entry recommends us with these words. If we are abandoned by Jesus, we will not serve ourselves. ”

When our personal goals align with the goals of the Almighty who created us “in these times,” we can, like Queen Esther, participate in what God is doing in today's “kingdom.”
