One woman was finally able to “shake it off” after attending The Eras Tour and seeing superstar Taylor Swift perform.
Cancer patient Laura Mahon, 31, was diagnosed with inoperable glioblastoma multiforme brain tumor in 2021 and was given just one to two years to live, according to her GoFundMe page.
Mahon had trouble walking and suffered from severe nausea and sensitivity to light.

The UK resident was 27 weeks pregnant at the time.
Just three weeks later, she gave birth to a 3.4-pound baby girl they named Sienna Mahon.

In December 2021, just one month after her baby was born, Mahon wrote on her GoFundMe page that due to the size and location of her brain tumor, she was given a year to live.

But when she discovered last year that Taylor Swift was coming to Liverpool on her The Eras Tour, she decided to buy tickets for the June 13, 2024 show.
Mahon’s husband, Daniel, took to Instagram the week of the show to post an update on how the couple got to the concert.

He said, “Oh my goodness, I brought her here. She’s really here. After 50 seizures in three days and a week in the hospital, Laura gets to see Taylor Swift live.”

Daniel Mahon said Laura Mahon was having seizures every 10 minutes at one point, which caused the couple to postpone attending a concert by two nights.

“This obviously had some effect on her,” he said in an Instagram caption.
The Taylor Swift concert gave Mahon something to focus on while she was undergoing treatment.
“Currently, she is walking and [the use of one] The arm is gone [we] I’ve taken it back before and I plan on doing it again,” he wrote.

Daniel Mahon revealed how much his wife had been looking forward to the concert and how it gave her something to focus on while she was undergoing treatment.

He added, “She sets milestones to be reached, and most [of them] Looking around [daughter] As Sienna was growing up, seeing Taylor live was high on her bucket list.”
