Cancer survivor, 49ers fan, shoved during Bills game: family

It should have been a memorable night for Mia DeCamilla, a young 49ers fan and cancer survivor who was watching her first NFL game at Orchard Park on Sunday.

And it will be, but for all the wrong reasons.

The 8-year-old fan was not physically injured, but his family said he decided to leave the game after the altercation.

DeCamilla, a Rochester native, told WIVB that he inherited his 49ers fandom from his father.

Mia's father, Mike DeCamilla, told WIVB that his family was sitting in seat 312 when they saw the vile fan approach.

“He said, 'I'm going to push through all the Niner fans,'” the elder DeCamilla said. “He actually bumped me and my son a little bit and then pushed her past me. [She] I almost fell down the stairs…

“He had to be 6 feet tall and she was under 100 pounds…I know there's a competitive spirit and all that, but there's a point where it's a family event.”

His daughter was emotionally shaken by the incident, but didn't let it ruin her night.
