On Monday, conservative commentator Candace Owens shared her views on President Trump during her show. She suggested that Trump perceives his supporters as “base stupid” and described the people around him as “silly.”
Owens specifically criticized Trump for what she called “gaslighting the citizens,” following a memo from the FBI and DOJ that stated there was no evidence of a “client list” related to Epstein, who died in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial for serious charges.
“The Epstein scandal is definitely terminal cancer for Trump’s MAGA movement,” she asserted, emphasizing that there’s no doubt about that.
Reflecting on Trump’s earlier campaign, Owens drew comparisons with the Hunter Biden controversy, involving his infamous laptop, which contained numerous personal and business-related documents. She noted that these revelations became a significant campaign issue for Republicans when they surfaced.
Throughout Trump’s second term, Owens has adjusted her stance. She claimed that Biden’s situation was disregarded by the “deep state” and criticized Trump’s inner circle for what she views as their betrayal of him and his supporters.
Owens also suggested that the sending of more weapons to Ukraine serves as a distraction from the Epstein situation, dubbing it “operation: give them more war.”
Additonally, Owens stated she wouldn’t stop discussing Jeffrey Epstein anytime soon. “Before we let this go, we’ll examine everything, including those around him,” she said.
Previously, she labeled Trump critics as “embarrassing” last month while campaigning for him in the lead-up to the 2024 election. “He was a chronic disappointment, and I feel embarrassed that I urged people to vote for him,” she admitted.
